Tax Triage: crisis tax management
licensed care for tax trauma

WHAT, WHY, WHO

OPTIMAL TAX COMPLIANCE
The underlying laws administered by the Internal Revenue Service is the Tax Code¹ itself. Regulations are interpretations of the Code published by the agency and occupy many feet of shelf space for the printed volumes. Further precedents are continually created through Tax Court decisions. Keeping current with this ever changing and growing body of information requires a full time staff of highly trained and dedicated individuals.

Trusting your tax strategy to popular books and/or tax software publishers (who must lean toward "conservative over compliance") is not likely to be in your best interests. We exist to provide licensed professional help and counsel for those of you who are not in a position to dedicate yourselves to this particular specialty.

AM I SUFFERING A 'TAX TRAUMA'?
Anytime you are at a point where your real or potential tax liabilities are a source of worry or distress, you are suffering the indignity of tax trauma. This could be as simple as being concerned about discovering options that could reduce your tax liability for the current year. It could be as serious as imminent seizure of personal property by the IRS. There are a largevariety of possibilities in between but the common element is stress and anxiety.

SUSPICIOUS? YOU ARE NOT ALONE
Almost everyone has the 'suspicion' that they are not taking full advantage of their rights to minimize their tax liability. That feeling can drive some folks to miss reporting deadlines or fail to pay reported amounts in a timely manner. Increasing complexities in IRS Code and Regulation are producing increasing numbers of non-filers. End of year surprises (tax owed more than tax deposits) created 5,687,000 'delinquent' filers for TY 2002 by IRS estimates. The bottom line is there is a growing pool of folks who are suffering significant tax traumas.
The direct causes that lead to these conditions include accidents of timing, personal tragedy, misinformation, confusion, uncertainty, procrastination, or some other understandable human foible. TAX TRIAGE was created to give you access to licensed professionals who specialize in treating tax trauma.
